Combining tunes from electro, house and trance, Marco V is nothing short of a talented man. As well as amazing crowds world wide a few notable achievements include producing the themes made for the major motorsport championships; the FIFA World Rally Championship and the A1GP Powered by Ferrari. There is also a string of album and singles releases to his name with Creamfields in Australia on the schedule: We are all a little excited.
He is a DJ who is in it because he is "crazy about music", wanting nothing more than to be behind the decks, "always liked the music and play (to) for people". It is a a spiritual moment making him happy and overly enjoying himself.... As long as it isn't Jazz, "I don't like Jazz", if it came onto the radio he'd "change the channel straight away."
If he wasn't in music, he'd probably be helping out with his brothers fitness company, travelling Europe looking after the servicing of a range of steppers and running machines... although it might not be the best choice. "I don't have muscles! (when being collected at the airport for gigs), people know my face and 'here comes this little guy'. People have been looking for me for half an hour!"
Not to be mistaken in Australia for Creamfields in 2010 and still beaming with excitement about his past tours here, Marco V is part of a fantastic line-up. Like many he is "really looking forward to Creamfields. Sensation was a great party given the feeling of unity for new years eve. I always wanted to play in Auatralia for that. Great party: win win win!"
This time when taking to the decks (as long as there is a drink or two), he's eager to please. Hoping "to see everyone in front of the stage and enjoy the day and enjoy the party!" Of course, with a "few new tunes not all released yet so many surprises for the people," he laughed. He knows and is certainly realistic about the past, present and future when it comes to his art. "I never wanted to be famous," he said, for people with success, "don't believe everything you see, today it is 'someone', tomorrow it is 'someone else'." With an amazing down to earth attitude to music and life, he found the notion of it all "hard to explain, it's all needed to be seen in a certain perspective. It's gone in a second. Love every minute while you can," he suggested; "enjoy the view."
Having nothing short of an amazing career, his advice was simple, "do it cause you enjoy it. If becoming rich is your goal it might be a problem as there are always so many others. To get there, follow your heart, do what you like. We already have a Tiesto, David Guetta, Carl Cox - we don't need another one. It's the wrong attitude to be 'another' one. Get in there for your own reasons."
While in Australia his reasons are all about smoothies. "One thing there is no better than, is Australian smoothies!" With big plans to "drink at least 3 every day!!!" Sadly though he's not here long enough, "(I've) never been to the Northern Territory. Would love to spend a few days where Crocodile Dundee is from." Finding Australia "such a diverse land," the next time he pops over he might need to work in a holiday.
With Creamfields just around the corner, bags packed and tunes ready we can only hope he'll be back again soon with us having plenty of chances to invite him. "I have not limit," he will "go at it as long as I can."
